Compared to this report from 2010, it seems that Woolworths sales are not rising as fast as they were:
Australian Food and Liquor sales for the half year were $18.1 billion, an increase of 6.8% (or $1.16 billion). Sales for the second quarter were $9.1 billion, an increase of 5.9% over last year.
Does this indicate that they really are trimming prices ? An increase of only 4.6% in sales.

2010 $2,492.5m or 7.2% of gross sales
