Election Day: Saturday 20th March 2010.
South Australia went to the Polls, with the ALP expecting a swing against them, but even with a smaller vote count than the Liberals, the ALP still won the election after winning 25 seats.
As at midnight on Election day, 72.9% of the vote had been counted, with ALP getting 37.9% and Liberals a higher figure of 41.4%, with 8.0% going to the Greens.

- 291,338 votes for ALP (Labor)
- 62,014 votes for Greens

25 Labor with 37.8% of the vote and Winning the election
18 Liberal with 41.3% of the vote
3 Independent with 4.9% of the vote

An unusual outcome this year:
Liberal get more votes than Labor, yet Labor have won.
Both Liberal and Greens have shown increases so far, compared to the 2006 results, with Liberals gaining a 7.3% swing and Greens a 1.6% swing, and a 7.4% swing against Labor. Family first and Nationals both having small swings against them, -0.6% and -1.0% respectively.
