Confused over QBCC or QBSA?.
Queensland’s governing body for the Building and Construction Industry, is, or has been, known as the QBSA and the QBCC.
The QBSA (Queensland Building Services Authority) was replaced by the QBCC (Queensland Building and Construction Commission) on the 1st December 2013.
The QBCC is a statutory body and is part of the portfolio of the Minister for Housing and Public Works.
The QBCC supports the Queensland community by providing information, advice and regulation to ensure the maintenance of proper building standards and remedies for defective building work
