Thousands of anti-war protesters swarm police in Melbourne.
On 11 September 2024, thousands of people are demonstrating to try to block a weapons convention that opens in Melbourne.
Thousands have gathered in the city centre for their march on the International Land Defence Exposition being held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The Land Forces 2024 International Land Defence Exposition is on for three days and allows for discussions about the challenges facing the global land defence markets.
Main attendees will include government heads and defence industry representatives.
These expositions are often necessary, to aid in the future defence of our countries.
Anti-war protesters want democratic countries, that do allow protests, to cease preparations for the defence of their countries, but have no control over those that start, or want to start, wars.
Russia started its war against Ukraine in 2014, and it continues to this day, as Ukraine defends itself.
North Korea is still technically at war with South Korea, and is increasing its nuclear attack weapons.
China is building military bases inside other countries territories, and creating tensions in the West Philippine sea, and other areas.
Iran is arming the Russians, and other terrorist groups to attack whoever they wish.
Do these anti-war protesters do anything to try to stop the war makers? Or do they just want to stop those that are defending their countries.
Many of the protesters were carrying Palestinian flags and called for an end to the war that started on 7 October 2023, when the Hamas Government in Gaza invaded Israel.

The Gaza-Israel war began when Hamas-led militant groups launched a surprise attack on Israel on 7 October 2023, when a few thousand militants breached the Gaza–Israel barrier and attacked Israeli civilian communities taking many hostages. Israel retaliated, and stated they would continue to fight Hamas until the hostages were released.
Hamas leaders have refused to release all the hostages, causing the continuation of the war.
