Updates for Australian Age Pensioners April 2019.
Age Pension Increase.
From 20th March 2019, the maximum Age Pension increased by $9.90 per fortnight for singles and $14.80 per fortnight for couples combined ($7.40 each).
Energy Supplement.
The energy supplement continues at $14.50 for singles, and $10.60 for each member of a couple.
Energy Assistance Payment.
From 2nd April 2019, all Age Pension recipients, residing in Australia, will receive a one-off energy assistance payment. This payment will be $75.00 for singles, and $62.50 for each member of a couple. This will be paid by 30th June 2019.
Work Bonus Increase.
From 1st July 2019, the Work Bonus increases from $250 to $300 per fortnight, and the maximum limit rises to $7,800 from $6,500. This means you can now earn an additional $7,800 per year without losing any part of the pension.
The Work Bonus has been extended to include self employment.
Pension Loan Scheme.
From 1st July 2019, the Pension Loan Scheme will be increased to 150% of the maximum pension rate, from 100%.
