Some Australian Pensioners to Lose the Clean Energy Supplement.

It has been said that the Clean Energy Supplement was brought in to compensate for the carbon tax, but that never happened, and so the Clean Energy Supplement was never really needed.

The Energy Supplement – formerly the Clean Energy Supplement.

2014: Aged pensioners and Commonwealth Seniors Health Card holders will continue to receive the Energy Supplement (formerly the Clean Energy Supplement), with the rate of payment as of 30 June 2014 fixed for future payments.

Payment rates for Energy Supplement to Adult claimants.

This varies from $7.90 (Partner New Start Allowance and similar) to $14.10 per fortnight (Single Aged Pension and over)

2017: The Energy Supplement won’t be paid from 20 March 2017.

Is the Energy Supplement still being Paid.

It appears that some people do still get the Energy Supplement (August 2017), maybe due to being on it for some time prior to any changes.
