Australian Visas Cancelled on Character Assessment.

Australian Visas can be cancelled where a Visa holder (Permanent or Temporary) no longer complies with the Australian Character requirements.

The most common Nationalities, where the Visa is cancelled on character grounds, seems to be New Zealand and United Kingdom, with 56% of the total cancellations between them.

These figures are not include in the above charts.

Visa Refusals under section 501 (character grounds).

A visa refusal is different to a visa cancellation, and relates to those applying for a visa, rather than a visa holder, who has the visa cancelled.

In 2017/18 there were 537 Visa Refusals under section 501
In 2016/17 there were 631 Visa Refusals
In 2015/16 there were 423 Visa Refusals
