Australians now Reunited with Families.

WA opens its borders to Australia.

Hundreds, even thousands, of Australians living in the Eastern states of Australia, are now reuniting with their families in West Australia.

After 222 days, the border between WA and the rest of Australia was opened, and people could return home at last.

By 11am on Saturday 14 November 2020, over 200 people transitted by road from South Australia at the Eucla crossing with almost 100 coming from the Northern Territory using the Kununurra border post.

These were the first of about 3,000 who registered for the new G2G pass on Friday.

Eleven interstate flights were scheduled on Saturday carrying about 2,000 interstate travellers into WA, with flights from; Brisbane (3 flights), Darwin (2), Adelaide (2), Alice Springs, Hobart, Canberra and Sydney.

Arrivals that have been in Victoria and NSW recently are required to quarantine for 14 days at their home or a hotel.

Many of these arrivals have been separated from their families for over 7 months, just because they were on the wrong side of the border when restrictions were brought in.
