Average Adult Full Time Wages in Australia in November 2018.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics’ Average Weekly Earnings survey shows the Full-time adult average total earnings in November 2018 at $1,666.20 per week. This is $86,642.40 per year.

Male Average Wage November 2018.

  • Male Full-time adult average total earnings $92,788.80. This is a rise from $67,917.20 in November 2008. An increase of 36.62% in 10 years.
  • An increase of 1.76% in the last 12 months.

Female Average Wage November 2018.

  • Female Full-time adult average total earnings $76,840.40. This is a rise from $54,449.20 in November 2008. An increase of 41.12% in 10 years.
  • An increase of 3.35% in the last 12 months.

These figures, in many cases, may be explained by Males doing more hours/overtime etc., than Females, or a higher percentage of lower skilled females in one segment, etc.c as these are the total wages, not calculated by hourly pay figures.

The above figures are Average figures, not Median.  It is estimated that Median incomes are about 20% lower than the stated averages.
