20 December 2020.

On the 20th December 2020, NSW had recorded 2,031 local cases since the virus began. This is an increase of 71 cases in just 4 days.

This is after 18 days with no new cases.

16 December 2020.

On the 16th December 2020, NSW had recorded 1,960 local cases since the virus began,  the same number as on the 28 November 2020. No new local cases in 18 days.

On 28 Nov 2020, NSW had recorded 1,960 local cases of COVID-19 since the virus began.
They had also recorded 2,557 cases flying in from overseas arrivals.

By the 16th December, these numbers were still 1,960 local cases, but 2,697 overseas arrival cases.

This showed 140 new overseas arrival cases, but no new local cases, in an 18 day period.

Something went wrong, and an international arrival case somehow got through.

By the 20 Dec 2020, just 4 days later, there were now 2,031 local cases, an increase of 71, and 2,717 international arrival cases, an increase of 20. These increases were in just 4 days.

20 December 2020.

On the 20th December 2020, Australia had recorded 22,160 local cases since the virus began. This is an increase of 71 cases in just 4 days.

This is after 18 days with no new cases.

16 December 2020.

On the 16th December 2020, Australia had recorded 22,089 local cases since the virus began,  the same number as on the 28 November 2020. No new local cases in 18 days.

On 28 Nov 2020, Australia had recorded 22,089 local cases of COVID-19 since the virus began.
They had also recorded 5,796 cases flying in from overseas arrivals.

By the 16th December, these numbers were still 22,089 local cases, but 5,970 overseas arrival cases.

This showed 174 new overseas arrival cases, but no new local cases, in an 18 day period.

Something went wrong, and it appears that an international arrival case somehow got through to the public.

By the 20 Dec 2020, just 4 days later, there were now 22,160 local cases, an increase of 71, and 6,012 international arrival cases, an increase of 42. These increases were in just 4 days.
