A word for word quote by Opposition Leader Tony Abbott, on the ABC’s 7.30 Report on 17th May 2010:
“I know politicians are going to be judged on everything they say, but sometimes in the heat of discussion you go a little bit further than you would if it was an absolutely calm, considered, prepared, scripted remark”
Is anyone surprised by the content of that comment ?
Or are we just surprised that a politician has said it ?
What do people think about most newspapers, changing it slightly to him saying “Don’t trust what I say“.
Does anyone know any politician that means what they say, and does everything that they say they will do ?
My reading of this, is that ALL politicians, as well as normal people, say things in the heat of the moment, and I rarely believe what I hear from a politician anyway.
