Election 2015: Labor Claims that LNP promised 4% unemployment in QLD

LNP promised to drop unemployment to 4 per cent by 2018, during the 2012 election campaign..

TV advertising by Labor states that the LNP have failed to live up their promise to drop unemployment to 4 per cent by 2018.

But is is only 2015 !
LNP still have 3 years to fulfill that promise. How can it be a broken promise if we are not in 2018 yet ?

The LNP promised to drop unemployment to 4 per cent over six years during the 2012 election campaign.

Queensland’s unemployment rate continues to rise, reaching its highest level since June 2003.
But Queensland’s result was in line with the nation and other states.

The 2012 Queensland state election was held on 24 March 2012

The Queensland Unemployment rate in March 2012 was 5.5%
The Queensland Unemployment rate in December 2014 was 6.1%

From March 2012 to December 2014 the Queensland Unemployment rate has risen by 0.6% from 5.5% to 6.1%

The Australian Unemployment rate in March 2012 was 5.2%
The Australian Unemployment rate in December 2014 was 6.1%
