First Entry Date for 309 and 100 double grant

I had a 100 and 309 granted recently with a date of march 12 next year for entry.

Firstly, I am confused by the wording of the 100 which says “First entry by March 12 2022. Must not arrive after 12 March 2026.” Does that mean I can arrive after March 12 next year or not? And do I have to trigger the 309 or does the 100 override this?

I am concerned with the state of play with regards to quarantine, flights etc. What is the current situation with eligible visa holders booking flights and getting into Australia?

I will not be able to leave until very late end of year or early next year. Are there still flights being cancelled by airlines last minute? I am worried that if that happens it might risk me making the date in March. Not a great time to be moving continent but information is everything right now.

I am half considering travelling there and back before this just to trigger but I am guessing that would still warrant an expensive stay in quarantine.

Any help would be gratefully received, I’ll shout you the usual coffee.
