Some large donations have recently been promised to Australia fire services.
- Singer Pink has donated half a million dollars to local fire services in Australia.
- Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have donated half a million dollars to the NSW Rural Fire Service.
- Elton John pledged one million dollars on 7th January, to the bushfire relief fund, saying “this is my bit”.
- Andrew Forrest donated $20 million for immediate recovery and support, plus $50m to help create a national plan to mitigate bushfire threats.
