National Agency for Australian Bushfires.
The Australian Federal Government is to establish a National Bushfire Recovery Agency to work closely with the states and territories to rebuild homes and critical infrastructure destroyed in the bushfires.
This agency will be led by former AFP Police Commissioner Andrew Colvin.
At least $2 billion will be pumped into the national bushfire recovery fund over the next two years.
The decision to form this national bushfire recovery agency follows the recent blame game, as to who is responsible for fighting the fires.
Instead of not knowing who to blame; the State and Territory Governments responsible for this, or the Federal Government, or other parties who block what some want to do, there will be one point of blame in the future.
Less time to be wasted blaming people, more time to spend on the real issues.
