What is the Average New Zealand Wage?
In the June quarter of 2022, the average weekly wage was $1,363 and the median weekly wage was $1,160.
However, these figures cover both full time and part time employees, and the figure is therefore not really relevant to anyone.
The Median wage is the figure where half of the people earn more, and half earn less, which gives a slightly better indication of wages.
The best figures to look at are the figures for Full Time and Part Time separately.
