New Zealanders and Quarantine in Australia

Quarantine for New Zealand arrivals in Australia.

With the travel bubble now in place for New Zealanders arriving in Australia, it is important for them to know that not all of the states in Australia are in their “Travel Bubble”.

Those who travel on to Tasmania, South Australia and West Australia, will be required to undergo 14 days of hotel quarantine on arrival.

This Travel Bubble has been arranged between New Zealand and New South Wales and the Northern Territory, allowing quarantine free travel,  one way only, into either New South Wales or the Northern Territory.

Other states, that have not signed up to this agreement with New Zealand, are free to adjust any quarantine arrangements as they require.

These arrivals must respect any travel rules from state or territories that have NOT signed up to the travel bubble.
