No International Flights into Melbourne

International flights into Melbourne will be diverted to other cities for the next two weeks.

Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases in Victoria, international flights into Melbourne will be diverted to other states for two weeks.

With some states charging the passengers for the compulsory quarantine, this might be of some concern if those flights are diverted to those states.

An example of this at: International Arrivals to Pay their own Quarantine. A single traveller will be charged $2,800, which includes $910 for food. A couple would pay $3,710, while a family of four would pay $4,620.

Sydney, NSW,  where quarantine fees are currently not being charged might be a better destination.

All States are permitted to charge quarantine fees.
