Not Enough Quarantine Places in Australia

Quarantine Capacity in Australia.

The head of the Australian Border Force says the capacity of hotel quarantine is “not enough” to allow for every Australian stranded overseas to come home at once.

“It’s not enough, if I’m being honest, and as long as the caps remain with the hotel quarantine in place, it’s going to be difficult to envisage a situation where the airlines will start bringing more passengers in,” he said.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, all travellers arriving in Australia by air or sea must go into government approved mandatory quarantine for 14 days from arrival, with limited exceptions.
