Reduction in Offshore Family Stream Visa Grants

Family Stream Visa Grants from Offshore Applications.

In 2019-20 the number of offshore applications granted in the Family Stream totals continued to become an even smaller percentage of total Family Stream visa grants, with just 18,446 of the total of 41,961 Family Stream visa grants going to Offshore Applications.

In 2011-12 the offshore grants were about 75% of the total, meaning that only 25% of the grants were from onshore applications.

By 2019-20 this has become about 44% of the total, meaning that about 56% of the grants were now from onshore applications.

Family Visa Grants Offshore-Onshore  2010 to 2020

  • In 2019-20, the number of offshore applications granted was 18,446, this was 43.96% of the 41,961 Family Stream visas granted.
  • In 2018-19, the number of offshore applications granted was 26,289, this was 55.64% of the 47,247 Family Stream visas granted.
  • In 2017-18, the number of offshore applications granted was 28,814, this was 60.37% of the 47,732 Family Stream visas granted.
  • In 2016-17, the number of offshore applications granted was 33,814, this was 60.15% of the 56,220 Family Stream visas granted.
  • In 2015-16, the number of offshore applications granted was 38,761, this was 67.53% of the 57,400 Family Stream visas granted.
  • In 2014-15, the number of offshore applications granted was 40,639, this was 66.53% of the 61,085 Family Stream visas granted.
  • In 2013-14, the number of offshore applications granted was 40,932, this was 66.98% of the 61,112 Family Stream visas granted.
  • In 2012-13, the number of offshore applications granted was 39,477, this was 65.59% of the 60,185 Family Stream visas granted.
  • In 2011-12, the number of offshore applications granted was 42,233, this was 72.07% of the 58,604 Family Stream visas granted.
  • In 2010-11, the number of offshore applications granted was 40,919, this was 75.02% of the 54,543 Family Stream visas granted.
