How To Reset Hyundai i30 Service Required Warning Light
I just reset mine as it was past the required mileage, and showing “Service Required in -365kms”
The procedure that I used was:
- Close all the doors.
- Put into park position.
- Turn the ignition On, but do not start the engine.
- Press the TRIP button a few times until the SERVICE REQUIRED is displayed.
- While the SERVICE REQUIRED is displayed. Press and hold the RESET button to reset.
- It should reset to appear in 15,000 kms or 365 days time.
- Turn off the ignition.
There are a few different methods appearing on some websites, possibly for different models of the i30.
This is one that in theory should cover my car, but didn’t:

- Close all doors, gear to park position.
- Turn the ignition On. Don’t start the engine.
- Press the TRIP button until the SERVICE REQUIRED is displayed.
- While the SERVICE REQUIRED is displayed. Press and hold the OK button to reset.
- Turn off the ignition.

- Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position without starting the engine.
- Press the TRIP button repeatedly until you see USER SETTINGS menu.
- Once you on the USER SETTINGS screen, press and hold the TRIP button to enter the menu.
- Press the TRIP button until the screen is changed.
- Scroll down and select SERVICE INTERVAL.
- Adjust the time and distance at a specific interval.
- Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
