Restrictions on Flights into Australia.

No new bookings on some flights to Australia.

To clear the backlog of bumped passengers, both Air New Zealand and Qatar Airways have stopped taking new bookings on their flights to Australia.

This is because they already have too many passengers booked, and they need to clear the backlog before taking new bookings.

There are reports of some passengers getting bumped off flights more than a dozen times.

While Australian coronavirus restrictions continue to maintain daily entry limits, the airlines will work on clearing its backlog of bumped passengers, at around 30 to 50 passengers per flight.

New bookings, for flights to Australia, will resume when the backlog of thousands of Australians trying to return home has been cleared.
