You don’t need a sponsor or nominator but must be under 45 to be invited.
subclass 189 New Zealand stream.
This visa lets eligible New Zealand citizens live and work in Australia permanently.
You must hold a New Zealand Special Category (subclass 444) visa, have lived in Australia for at least the last 5 years.

Basic steps to Apply for the subclass 189 visa.
1: Submit Skill Visa Assessment.
2: Get back your Skill Assessment result.
3: Send in your Expression of Interest.
4: Receive Invitation for Dept of Home Affairs.
5: Apply for the subclass 189 visa.
6: You are notified of Visa grant or rejection.
In September 2019, it has been stated by some, that the average processing time was about 8 months. That would be from stage 5 to stage 6 above.
The official processing times were shown as 75% finalised in under 18 months and 10% taking over 33 months.
All those completed in 8 months would be included in the 75% under 18 months group.
The waiting time between stage 3, the submission of the Expression of Interest, and getting a visa, could be substantially longer.
