Subclass 835 Remaining Relative Onshore visa.
The subclass 835 Remaining Relative visa is an Onshore permanent visa that lets a relative of a person living in Australia, live in Australia permanently.
- The applicant must be IN Australia when they apply for this visa and when Immigration decide the application result.
- The applicant must be sponsored by an eligible parent or step-parent, sibling or step-sibling, or an eligible partner of your relative.
- The applicant must be a remaining relative of an Australian citizen, or a Permanent resident or an Eligible New Zealand citizen.
- The applicant must be able to obtain an assurance of support that assures the Australian government that the applicant, and any family members, will not have to rely on government assistance after entering Australia on this visa.
You are NOT eligible for this visa if:
- You or your partner have a near relative who usually lives outside Australia, or
- You or your partner have a near relative who lives in Australia on a temporary visa (and are not an Eligible New Zealand citizen) or unlawfully. Temporary visas include bridging visas.
