Subclass 858 Global Talent visa.
This is a permanent visa for people who have an internationally recognised record of exceptional and outstanding achievement in an eligible field.
You must be able to find work in your field in Australia, or become independently established in your field in Australia.
To be eligible for the GTI program, applicants must
- Demonstrate the potential to earn a salary at or above the income threshold of $153,600 each year and
- Have their application supported by a nominator of national reputation in the same field.
There are currently 11,000 places available for this visa, and the Department of Home Affairs has stationed Global Talent Officers in the UK, the USA and Singapore, to help in promoting the program and finding the best and brightest talent for Australia.
