Travel Ban Exemption

Australia, the Travel Ban and the Travel Ban Exemptions.

One of the effects of the COVID-19 Coronavirus was the quarantining of Australia from the rest of the world, and this meant a Travel Ban being implemented on people entering and leaving Australia.

This began in March 2020, and has been extended and adjusted a few times.

Some people, that NEED to enter or leave Australia, are able to apply for an Exemption to the Travel Ban.  They do need to apply, and give sufficient reasons to be granted this exemption.

The also need an existing visa, or visa application, to get the Travel Ban Exemption.

It must be noted that a Travel Ban Exemption alone is NOT sufficient to arrive in Australia, they must also have a valid visa at time of travel.  Sometimes this means applying for a visitor visa after getting the exemption.
