Jobkeeper Payment Rate Reductions September 2020

Jobkeeper Rate Changes.

The jobseeker wage subsidy is set to remain at $1,500 per fortnight, but will then reduce to $1,200 a fortnight from the end of September until December.

It is then intended to reduce to $1,000 per fortnight until March 2021.

Due to coronavirus (COVID-19) the newly arrived resident’s waiting period waiver has been extended until 31 December 2020 for:

  • JobSeeker Payment
  • Youth Allowance
  • Austudy
  • Parenting Payment
  • Farm Household Allowance
