Visitor visa processing times.
A recent news article is saying that around 75 per cent of tourist visas were processed in 59 calendar days, during the April to June period in 2022.

They say the source of that figure, “75% taking 59 days“, is a report from Home Affairs.
However, the reporter has read the report wrong.
The actual figures from that report are:
25% took up to 17 days.
Another 25% took between 17 and 35 days.
That is 50% so far taking up to 35 days.
Another 25% took between 35 and 59 days.
The reporter, if being honest, should have said:
75% took between 1 and 59 days, with 25% taking under 27 days.
But negative news sounds better if you can make it sound as bad as possible.
The median processing times for a selection of countries was:
17 days India.
35 days Vietnam.
