I just received one of those common calls where the caller just hangs up as soon as it is answered.
It may be simply that it is a robot call that hangs up after you answer, just to establish that your number is valid and active. They can then sell that number to a telemarketer for future sales calls.
It could of course be something worse.
I never call these numbers back. If they hang up on me, why should I return their call?
